Management student and faculty attended FICCI - National Conclave on Viksit Bharat@2047

I.T.S School of Management, Ghaziabad PGDM Students and Faculty members attended National Conclave on Viksit Bharat@2047 on February 27, 2024 at Hotel Shangri La, New Delhi. The event aimed to discuss and plan India's development by 2047, covering various important topics.

 

Student of PGDM 2023-25 Batch, namely Ankita Agarwal, Nishu Yadav, Nirdosh Kumar Singh, Rishi Singh, Priyanka Prakash, Shivangi Gupta along with faculty member’s   Dr. Anusha Agarwal & Prof. Yachana Malhotra attended the sessions.

The event started and ended with talks from influential figures, Chief Guest was   Smt. Nirmala Sitharaman, Union Minister of Finance & Corporate Affairs emphasized that “Goal is not only to make Viksit Bharat, it is our duty to provide better India, and Youth feel proud to live in India. Guest of Honor was Shri Anurag Thakur, Union Minister of Information & Broadcasting and Sports & Youth Affairs and he shared the journey of India from UPA to UPI. He also told us that Hon’ble PM believes in Team Work Sab Ka Sath Sab ka Vikas. The welcome speech was given by Dr. Anish Shah, President, FICCI & CEO, Mahindra Group in which he told us that FICCI is supporting Viksit Bharat and working on 4 aspects:

·         Make in India

·         Women Empowerment

·         Farm Prosperity

·         Sustainability

Special Address was given by Shri Harsh Pati Singhania, J K Paper Ltd. Where he told us that, Viksit Bharat is not just a vision, it is not a desire of individual,it is a desire of collective India.The inaugural session was followed by three stimulating panel discussions on the theme Farmers First. The session focused on improving agriculture for farmers' prosperity and Financial Inclusion Discussion on making India financially strong.

In the post lunch session focused on Women-Led Development the role of women in India's development was discussed.

All the sessions successfully captured the potential of India's manufacturing sector and its strategic importance in economic growth and job creation. The speakers provided valuable perspectives on various aspects of manufacturing, contributing to the vision of making India a global manufacturing leader by 2047.

It was an enriching experience and learning for all and helped everyone to network with the industry professionals.

Guest lecture on Global Supply Chain at IIP Delhi by Management Faculty

Prof.(Dr.) Shailendra Kumar Dube, Professor-Operations, faculty of I.T.S School of Management, Ghaziabad was invited for guest lecture on “Global Supply Chain”, by Additional Director, Indian Institute of Packaging (IIP) Delhi, Ministry of Commerce, GOI.  

The proposed expert lecture was intended for the visiting delegation from Bhutan, under the auspices of Indian Technical & Economic Cooperation (ITEC) scheme of the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA), Govt. of India on February 26, 2024.

The two weeks residential training programme on Packaging Technology, was jointly organized by the Ministry of Industrial Development, Govt. of Bhutan & the MEA, Govt. of India, which was held between February 19, 2024 to March 3, 2024. Around 40 domain experts from PAN India (Presence Across Nation) comprised academicians from premier institutions, Corporate doyens and Industry.

The session was highly appreciated by the visiting delegation and the IIP Delhi authorities.

Management Faculty attended 3rd IP Excellence Awards and Global IP Conclave.

Dr Rajeev Johari, Faculty of I.T.S School of Management, Ghaziabad participated in the 3rd IP Excellence Awards and Global IP Conclave Envisioning India’s IP - Innovation Ecosystem for Viksit Bharat on February 6, 2024 at Hotel the Lalit, New Delhi organised by ASSOCHAM.

The event witnessed best of the minds representing the Global and Indian IP fraternity. The topics covered were:  Strategies for making India’s IP -Innovation Ecosystem future ready; Building robust IP mechanisms for Innovation facilitation and IP and Innovation for advancing Sustainable Development in India.

Distinguished speakers of the event:

·            Special Guest  : Mr. John Cabeca, US Intellectual Property Council for South Asia and Mr, Hiroki Watanabe Director IPR & IP Attaché for South Asia. JETRO

Participation as a Track chair in the INCONSYM-2024 : International Conference on Global Business Transformation : Now, Next and Beyond

Dr. Anusha Agarwal , Faculty of I.T.S School of Management, Ghaziabad participated as a Track chair in the International Conference on Global Business Transformation : Now, Next and Beyond (INCONSYM-2024) organized by Symbiosis Institute of Business Management (SIBM), Hyderabad in association with University of Wollongong Dubai and SCMS Noida on January 30t, 2024.

 

The objective of the conference was to provide a common platform for researchers from the Academia as well as the Industry to discuss and present their research work by providing an opportunity for collaboration among them. Various novel ideas and the prototype models on the above mentioned theme were presented in the conference.

Academicians, researchers, and business executives gave the presentations. The focus of the session was on research papers that addressed actual issues and situations in the field of sustainability, ESG etc. The session's participatory format contributed excellent learning. One-on-one feedback sessions with the participants included recommendations for further research in their areas of interest.

Management Students and Faculty attended CII MSME Summit Delhi

Student of PGDM 2023-25 Batch, I.T.S School of Management, Ghaziabad namely Sanskar Jaiswal, Akshat Singh , Gunee Tyagi, Kriti Saini , Roshan Agarwal, Sonali Gupta, Ankita Mishra , Annu Yadav , Priyank Chowdhury and Sandeep Naik along with faculty members Dr. Richa N. Agarwal and Dr. Ritu Saxena attended the  CII MSME Summit- "Fuelling India@100 Growth Story” organized by Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) on January, 30, 2024 at India Habitat Centre, New Delhi.

 

The summit focused on Charting Innovation, Policy Reforms, Financing, and Global Competitiveness within the MSME sector.

It aimed at exploring a comprehensive roadmap for India's economic growth, particularly within the Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSME) sector. The summit brought together industry leaders, policymakers, and experts to deliberate on strategies crucial for propelling India's economic trajectory forward.

The summit commenced with an inaugural session graced by distinguished personalities including the Chairman of CII Delhi, the Convenor of CII-Delhi Sub Committee on MSME, and the Hon'ble Minister of Industries, Govt. of NCT of Delhi, setting the tone of significance and urgency. There were discussion how use of digital data will lead to more productivity. Delegates from different countries explained how MSME in India  can have investor support in foreign countries .

Each session offered a deep dive into various facets, providing attendees with actionable insights and best practices to navigate the complexities of the evolving economic landscape.

Dr. Ritu presented research paper at 9th PAN World Management Conference 2024

Dr. Ritu Saxena, an Assistant Professor at I.T.S School of Management, Ghaziabad, actively engaged in the 9th PAN World Management Conference 2024, themed "Entrepreneurial Innovation and Digital Governance for inclusive and Sustainable Growth," held by IIM Sambalpur, India from January 22nd to 24th, 2024, in a Hybrid Mode.

At the conference, Dr. Saxena presented her research paper titled "Impact of University Social Media Marketing on Customer Engagement and Customer Response: Exploring the Mediating Role of University Brand Equity."

 The forthcoming abstract, slated for inclusion in the proceedings of the 9th PAN IIM World Management Conference, 2024, emphasizes the critical understanding of the dynamic interplay among university social media marketing, customer engagement, and response. This understanding is crucial for enhancing brand equity and crafting strategies to strengthen stakeholder connections, enhance reputation, recruitment endeavours, and overall institutional prosperity.

Dr. RichaN. Agarwal attended FDP on the topic “Research Methodology For Indian Thought in Management”

Dr. Richa N. Agarwal, Faculty of I.T.S School of Management, Ghaziabad participated in Faculty Development Programme on topic “Research Methodology for Indian Thought in Management “organized by MDI, Gurugram on January 09 -10, 2024.

 

The FDP was planned for two days. The resource person for the FDP was   Prof. Dharam P S Bhawuk, Professor of Management and Culture and Community Psychology University of Hawaii at Manoa, Honolulu, Hawaii US. In the first session, the resource person talked about Western Approaches and Indian Approaches and how Indian thoughts are evolving in Management. The session explained how our culture shapes behaviour . The importance of language was also emphasized.  It was also emphasized that there is a difference in thought when we do management emerging from Indian Thoughts. Many concepts related to Management , leadership and power were discussed which were inspired from Indian Thoughts. Second Day the session focussed on how can we take thoughts from Gita , Upanishads , Puranas and develop new management thoughts. Session explained how to integrate psychology with philosophy.

The session also deliberated on Indian Positive Psychology and Western Positive Psychology and their application in Management. The FDP was unique , relevant and enlightening.

Prof. Ashutosh Sharma, Assistant Professor at I.T.S School of Management, Ghaziabad participated & presented a research paper titled “A comparative study of factors influence the price of gold in International Market” in 27th Nirma International Conference on Management (NICOM-2024), on the topic – “Business in Uncertain Times: Strategies and Capabilities to Manage Disruption and Growth”  organized by Institute of Management in Nirma University, Ahemdabad, Gujrat, India on 4th - 6th  January, 2024.
 

Also, abstract published in the proceedings of this International Conference.

It was a great learning experience for Mr. Ashutosh Sharma.
