Dr. Vijesh Jain presented research paper at IIM – Ahmedabad.
Dr. Vijesh Jain, Professor, I.T.S, Ghaziabad presented a research paper titled - Nature, variations and preferences in ‘level of comfort’ among employees with different national background at 4th Pan IIM World Management Conference, held at IIM – Ahmedabad, New campus between 12th Dec to 15th Dec, 2016. The paper was authored by Prof. Vijesh Jain along with the second author Dr. Susana Costa e Silva, from Catholic University of Porto, Portugal. In addition to the paper presentation Prof. Vijesh Jain also participated in 2 pre conference workshops on – Research writing and SEM.
The conference is part of a series of PAN IIM World Management Conferences and was 4th in this series. The next conference will be held at IIM – Lucknow. The theme of the 4th conference was – India – towards better governance. A total of 125 research papers from across the world were selected for presentation at the conference. Several parallel track of paper presentations were held at the conference. The highlight of the conference was the keynote address during the inaugural of the conference by by Prof. Peter Ronald deSouza, of Center for the study of Developing Societies along with Director, IIM A, Prof. Ashish Nanda, followed by a panel discussion by 16 directors of different IIMs in India. Several foreign professors, researchers and industry persons attended the world conference.
Management faculty members attended one day seminar on “Inter-linkages between exports and employment” organized by EXIM Bank of India, Mumbai.
Prof. Vijesh Jain, Prof. Shuchita Singh and Prof. Parul Gupta attended an important seminar in Delhi on 5th Dec, 2016 at New Delhi. The seminar was organized by EXIM Bank of India, Mumbai.
Export-Import Bank of India (Exim Bank), in its endeavor to promote and facilitate India’s trade and investment, periodically brings out research publications focusing on various countries, regions, and industries as also macroeconomic issues of relevance to international trade. With the increasing significance of the role of exports in supporting employment, Exim Bank felt the need for undertaking a Study to map the inter-linkages between exports and employment. Such kind of analysis has been conducted by institutions in other countries, such as the US Department of Commerce (for USA), and the European Commission (for Europe). A Study titled “Inter-linkages between Exports and Employment in India”, has recently been completed by Exim Bank. Exim Bank conducted the Seminar based on the theme of the Study, during which the findings of the Study was presented.

Revisiting HR Practices in the Current Scenario of Optimism, The Department of Management organized a two days seminar titled Revisiting HR Practices in the Current Scenario of Optimism on 31st October and 1st November 2010 at I.T.S premises.
Mr.Sanjay Diwan, Director –Strategy, AGC Networks was the Chief guest and Mr. Abhay Saxena, AVP-TQM and Training and Development , Hero Corporation was the key note speaker in the inaugural session. There were two technical sessions, followed by a panel discussion on the first day of the seminar. Mr. Sandeep Tyagi, Director – HR, Haier appliances, Dr. H.S, Sharma, DG, Lord Krishna Group, Dr. A. R.Dubey, Professor, Skyline University, Dubai, were the key speakers in the first technical session on Business Leadership while Mr. Avirag Jain, VP – HR, R. Systems, Ms. Indrani Nath, Reliance Communication and Mr. Himanshu Saxena, CEO and Founder, Maverik Consulting were the distinguished speakers for the second technical session on Empowering HR through ICT. The facilitator for panel discussion was Mr. Murlidhar Shyam, Director – HR, ATC while Dr.P. U.B. Rao, Senior Professor, Mr.Sunit Saxena, AGM-HR, Idea Cellular and Mr. H.S.Yadav, AVP-HR, DS Group were the other members of panel discussion. There was a paper presentation contest for faculty and students on second day. Compendium was also released during the seminar. Papers were presented and were examined by the senior academicians. More than 40 papers from various Business Schools and Universities were entertained which came from Rajasthan, Jharkhand, Uttar Pradesh, Tamilnadu and Delhi. The best papers were awarded with cash prize of Rs.10000, Rs.6000, Rs.4000/- to faculty members and cash prize of Rs.5000, Rs. 3000 and Rs. 2000/- to students.
