Management Faculty presented a paper at MDI, Murshidabad

Prof. Smita Barik of Management Department at ITS Mohan Nagar Ghaziabad successfully presented her paper titled “Role of AI on HRM functions:

An Empirical Study on Private IT and Educational Sectors in India” in the Track on Information Systems Management in the 2nd International Conference on Business Research and Innovation organized by Management Development Institute Murshidabad from 28– 29th January ,2022.

This 2 days conference witnessed participation from many prestigious institutions from all across India. The research paper was related to implementation of Artificial Intelligence in Modern HR processes. The Session was chaired by DR. MOHITA GANGWAR SHARMA (FORE SCHOOL OF MANAGEMENT) and co- chaired by DR. AMRITA SENGUPTA.

The presenter received valuable  inputs  for further research and was appreciated for the research work.

PGDM HR specialization students attended workshop on “EMOTIONAL INTELLIGENCE VIRTUAL MASTERCLASS” 

A virtual workshop was conducted by USHA & LAKSHMI MITTAL INSTITUTE OF MANAGEMENT on the topic “EMOTIONAL INTELLIGENCE VIRTUAL MASTERCLASS” on January 29, 2022. It was attended by HR specialization participants, PGDM 20-22 batch.

The workshop was facilitated by FACILITATED BY- Ashutosh Mishra and Deeksha Rattan, certified Trainers with a brief introduction of Emotional Intelligence and its significance at workplace and real life. There various topics included in workshops were Emotional Intelligence Self Awareness, Self Management, Empathy, Relationship Management etc. The workshop was in conducted in an interactive and engaging mode where, the trainers presented various clipping from various movies and web series like Kota Factory, Munna Bhai MBBS etc.  and highlighted the  relevance of dimensions of emotional intelligence with the life of an individual and group. The trainer further discusses that, at a personal level, emotional intelligence helps us:

·         Manage our emotions when stressed or feeling overwhelmed

·         Improve relationships with the people we care about

At work, emotional intelligence can help us:

·         Resolve conflicts 

·         Coach and motivate others

·         Create a culture of collaboration

·         Build psychological safety within teams

They further discussed about various dimensions of EI such as Self Awareness, Self Management, Empathy and Relationship Management. Various quizzes were also conducted in between to check knowledge of audience. The workshop was overall interactive and full of learning.

Session conducted by Dr V N Bajpai for JEMTEC, Greater Noida

Dr V N Bajpai, Professor at I.T.S Ghaziabad was invited to conduct a virtual session on “Achieving Problem-Solution Fit & Product-Market Fit” for the faculty and students of JIMS Engineering Management Technical Campus (JEMTEC), Greater Noida on January 24, 2022.

 

The session was organised by JEMTEC School of Law in association with Institution Innovation Council.
To begin with the session Dr Bajpai was extended a warm welcome by Dr N K Bahl and Dr Pallavi Gupta, Principal, JEMTEC School of Law.

In his interaction with students and faculty, Dr Bajpai discussed various aspects of marketing including Customer Co-creation, Lead users and marketing innovations. He shared many examples from the corporate world with respect to their efforts in delivering superior customer value resulting in a better Problem – Solution – Market Fit. The session ended with question – answer round followed by vote of thanks.

PGDM students attended FICCI webinar on “5 years of Insolvency and Bankruptcy Code: Looking forward and beyond”

A virtual webinar was conducted by FICCI on the topic “Insolvency and Bankruptcy Code” on 20th January, 2022.

It was attended by PGDM 21-23 batch participants, namely Anubhi Sinha, Naitik Jain, Papiya Dey, Neha Kumari, Nainshi Mishra, Shivani Sharma, Gaurav Rawat, Awanish Mishra, Shailesh Goel and Shruti Maheshwari.

The inaugural address was given by Dr .Mukulita Vijayawargiya, Whole Time Member, Insolvency and Bankruptcy Board of India (IBBI). Thereafter talk was delivered by    Mrs. Abha Seth, Team Lead at FICCI. She talked about how Insolvency code helped to give a quicker, time-bound alternative for recovery of bad loans for banks.

Further a panel discussion was conducted which was moderated by Mr. Anoop Rawat (Shardul Amarchand Mangaldas & Co Advocates & Solicitors).The topic for panel discussion was Insolvency and Bankruptcy Reforms and the way forward. There were four panellists for the discussion.

1.      Mr. Rajesh Kumar Gupta (Chief General Manager, Insolvency and Bankruptcy Board of India)

2.      Mr. R.K Bansal(Co Chairman, FICCI National Committee on Stressed Assets and Managing Director & CEO, Edelweiss Asset Reconstruction Company)

3.      Mr. Prakash Rao (Executive Director and ED & CIO- Indirect Investments National Investment and Infrastructure Fund Limited)

4.      Mr Ashish Chhawchharia (Partner and National Head – Restructuring Services, Grant Thornton Bharat)

The panel discussion was very informative and resourceful. Panelists showed different paths and ways in which IBC can bring reforms in future. The session was further concluded by the FICCI members with a vote of thanks.

Management faculty invited as a Guest

Management faculty, Prof. Shilpi Rana was invited as a Guest in the Valedictory Session of a 2-day "National Conference" on Atma Nirbhar Bharat - Opportunities & Challenges, organised by IIMT College of Management, Greater Noida on 23rd December, 2021.

 

The session witnessed 200 above participants from Management background including Faculty members, Research Scholars and students. The session was full of enthusiasm & Zeal among participants to present their research papers during the Conference.

It was a pleasure being invited as Guest to present the awards to the winners. Overall It was a wonderful learning experience. The Faculty is Grateful to the Management of I.T.S Ghaziabad for giving such opportunities and to be a part of such events for self exploration and learning.

Dr. Rajeev Johari attended National Seminar at MPISSR, Ujjain

Dr Rajeev Johari, faculty of I.T.S School of Management, Ghaziabad attended the National Seminar on “Environmental Issues and Present Society: Challenges and Possibilities for its Preservation and Restoration” during 21-22 December, 2021 at MPISSR, Ujjain, M.P.

Dr Johari presented his paper on “Environment Accounting – Scope for welfare and Sustainability from the levels of Corporate and Nation” in the third plenary session of the Seminar. He co-chaired the second plenary session also in the seminar in which there were four presenters who discussed on themes like - Ecosystem in the era of Anthropocene- health of coastal oceans, Environmental and pollution management: A case study of Gujarat Dairy Cooperatives, Plastic waste management- Mission ‘impossible” or I am possible and politics of development and tribals- ecology in Narmada valley. There were six plenary sessions in the seminar. Prof. G K Sharma, President, MPISSR, Ujjain chaired the session followed by Prof. Yatindra Singh Sisodia, Director, MPISSR who delivered the welcome address of the dignitaries of the dais and the floor of the house.  Shri Vibhash Upadhyay, Vice President, Madhya Preadesh Jan Abhiyan Parishad  addressed the session as a chief guest of the day followed by Padam  Bhibhushan Dr. anil Prakash Joshi, Environmentalist, Green Activist, and the Founder of Himalayan Environmental Studies and Conservation Organization (HESCO) delivered the keynote address. Dr Manu Gautam shared overview of the seminar and program schedule for two days and at the end he concluded the session with his vote of thanks.

The seminar was conducted on different issues of the environment as climate change, soil erosion and conservation and restoration of water, air, gas, soil, and environment in the society. The issues of safety parameters, control, monitor and check the system of the environmental were discussed in two days. The seminar concluded with take aways like  draw a line between vikas and vinas, change the mind set of human being and to save environment for future growth and security of the nation.

22nd World Education Summit & Awards, Higher Education 2021

Dr. Anusha Agarwal and Prof. Yachna Malhotra from I.T.S School of Management attended two days 22nd World Education Summit & Awards, Higher Education 2021, Delhi organized by Elets Technomedia on 17th and 18th December,2021.

 

Day 1: the Inaugural Session started with the addresses by Sh. Rajesh Aggarwal, Secretary, Ministry of Skill Development & Entrepreneurship, Government of India , Dr. Anil D. Sahasrabudhe, Chairman, All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) Prof K. K. Agarwal, Chairman, National Board of Accreditation (NBA) Prof. M.P. Poonia, Vice Chairman, All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) Prof. V. Ramgopal Rao, Director, Indian Institute of Technology Delhi, (IIT Delhi) Dr. Madhu Chitkara, Pro Chancellor, Chitkara University, Punjab & H.P Raghav Gupta, Managing Director, India & APAC Coursera. The speakers discussed about the various highlights of National Education Policy 2020 and its impact on Higher Education.

The first panel session had following Panelist: Dr. Indrajit Bhattacharya, Director, National Accreditation Board for Education and Training (NABET), Quality Council of India (Moderator) Prof. V Ramgopal Rao , Director, Indian Institute of Technology Delhi, (IIT Delhi) Prof. Prem Vrat, Chairman, Board of Governors, IIT(ISM) Dhanbad & Pro Chancellor, The North Cap University, Gurugram,  Prof. Dr. Mangesh Karad, Executive President & Vice Chancellor, MIT-ADT University. The session had great discussions on Research based and Education based institutes and how institutes and faculty members can collaborate to strengthen research in higher education.

Day 2 started with the Panel Discussion session one on the theme” Using Digital Technology to Promote Higher Education Learning and Encouraging Engagement of Students”. The expert  Panelist were Prof. Atul Khosla, Founder and Vice Chancellor, Shoolini University, Solan (Moderator) Prof. Rajat Moona, Director, Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Bhilai Prof. Mahesh Chandra Govil, Director, National Institute of Technology (NIT), Sikkim Prof. Vishnu Priye, Director, Indian Institute of Information Technology (IIIT), Ranchi Prof. S. C. Garg, Pro Chancellor, Usha Martin University, Ranchi Prof. (Dr.) Sanjay Gupta, Vice Chancellor , World University of Design, Haryana Dr. Sendil Kumar. B, Dean and Director-Health Sciences, Vinayaka Missions Research Foundation-DU. All the speakers emphasized on role of digitalization in higher education and future of blended learning.

The Panel session 2 had the keynote address by Prof. Rajive Kumar, Member Secretary, All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE)  on the focal theme Upskilling and Reskilling students to make them competitive for future workforce. The other panelist were Dr. Jitendra Mishra, Director, Jaipuria School of Business, Ghaziabad (Moderator) Dr. Jamshed Bharucha, Founding Vice Chancellor, Sai University, Chennai Prof. (Dr.) A. K. Bakhshi, Vice Chancellor, PDM University, Bahadurgarh Prof. (Dr.) M. M. Goel, Vice Chancellor, Starex University, Gurugram Prof. (Dr.) Parvinder Singh, Vice Chancellor, Rayat Bahra University, Mohali Mr. Sunil Sood, Chief Business Officer – Executive Education, Times Professional Learning. The session delivered great insights on various methods and reforms to upskill and reskill students to enhance their employability.

Both the days had great insightful and interactive sessions and this definitely goes a long way in sustainable learning.
