Department of Management organized Two Days Workshop on“Advance Statistical Tools in Marketing Research”
Department of Management organized a Two Days Demonstrative workshop on “Advance statistical tools in Marketing Research” for Marketing Research and Information System specialization participants from PGDM 2018-20 Batch, conducted by Dr.Garima Srivastav.
The workshop started with introduction of basic fundamentals of statistical tools widely used in Marketing Research. The Participants were also deliberated with the importance of Marketing Research and its future implication in Analytics.
First Day of the workshop started with the conceptual framework of EFA and CFA and its difference. The use and importance of SEM through AMOS was also highlighted. Exploratory Factor Analysis was explained by reviewing research papers from Emerald and SSCI/SCOPUS/ABDC Journals. Various technical terms like KMO Statics, PCA, Extract, Rotation method, Display, Maximum Iterations for Convergence, Save scores as variables, Display factor score coefficient matrix, Missing Values, Coefficient Display Format used in EFA were discussed in detailed.
A practice case study and Excel Sheet was provided to the all the participants wherein they were given the questionnaire based on various attributes of perception, they were also rationalized to code and Feed the data in the datasheet of SPSS. Thereafter, analysing the objective of the case they were instructed to apply the EFA and Allocate Names to the factors obtained from the reduced data. The detailed analysis and interpretation was further discussed with the Participants.
On the Second Day of Workshop, the use of Paired Sample T Test, ANOVA were explained with the help of various cases/Excel Sheet and Practice Question. Varied Assumptions were also discussed in detail. Quality Published Research Paper were taken as a Reference. Taking these research papers under consideration and evaluating their objectives and hypothesis, Participants were also explained the need and application of these research tools.
Hand-outs of major SPSS Commands were also handed over to the participants. During the series of discourse, the positive suggestions and feedbacks were also shared by Participants. In the end, All the Participants were felicitated with participation certificates.

Faculty Development Program organizedon "Time Management"
Faculty of Department of Management at I.T.S Ghaziabad, Dr. Charu Chaudhry organized a Faculty Development Program on "Time Management" for faculty members of I.T.S Physiotherapy & Biotechnology College, Murad Nagar on May 4, 2019.
Dr. Ajay Kumar, Director-Management, I.T.S Mohan Nagar Campus inaugurated the program and emphasized upon the relevance of time management as a skill, which is essential to improve workplace productivity, in the dynamic competitive environment. Dr Charu focused on relationship between time management and self-management for professional excellence. With experiential exercises, she sensitized the participants that they can always improve productivity even if they are performing well. She also shared time management tools and techniques that can add value while prioritizing and scheduling the tasks. Various exercises helped participants to identify specific tools they need to use, to gain control of their time and become more efficient in near future. Session was highly interactive and faculty members participated in the program with full enthusiasm and energy. Presence of Director-Management and Dr. V N Bajpai encouraged all the participants.
FDP conducted by Dr. Lalit Kumar Sharma
Faculty of Department of Management at I.T.S Ghaziabad, Dr. Lalit Kumar Sharma conducted a Faculty Development Program on 25th January, 2019 in NIESBUD, Noida. The theme of the program was Importance of Research and Conducting Survey. Total 22 Faculties from different states participated in the program.
The objective of the program was to develop the understanding about importance of Research in business. Program has covered the concept of Marketing information System, Scaling Techniques and Developing Questionnaire. Various techniques of data collection were discussed. Participants have discussed the challenges in data collection for the business. Alternatives were developed for such challenges. All participants had great enthusiasm for learning. It was a great learning experience to all participants.

Faculty Development Program at I.T.S, Murad Nagar
Department of Management at I.T.S – Mohan Nagar organized a Faculty Development Program for the Department of Biotech at I.T.S - Dental College, Murad Nagar by Dr Lalit Kumar Sharma and Prof Shikha Arora on 15th January 2019.
The modules covered were Team Building, Time Management and Stress Management. The session was full of interactions and activities based on Change management, Problem solving, Flexible thinking, Morale building, Trust & Vision, etc. Participants were sensitized for team work, time matrix and proper utilization of time. Also, the session focussed on the causes of stress and how to control the same.
It was a great learning experience for all participants with several fun activities.

FDP on "Digitalization Initiative in the field of Education"
Department of Management at I.T.S - Mohan Nagar organized a Faculty Development Program by Ms. Sandhya Bondriya, IES & Alumni of Standford Graduate Business School and former Director, Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Government of India on 10th January 2019 on "Digitalization Initiative in the field of Education".
The basic purpose of FDP was to demonstrate application of Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning tools based on data analytics for increasing faculty efficiency, students' engagement and expediting accreditation work with a common goal to improve learning and teaching experiences more effective, time saving, efficient and universal manner for higher education institution.
All faculty members of Management Department actively participated with zeal and enthusiasm in order to explore and enrich their data driven decisions for students, courses and institution.

Workshop on “Managing Finance” GYM for PGDM (2018-20) Batch
Department of Management at I.T.S Ghaziabad, in association with L&T Mutual Funds organized the workshop on Managing Finance to PGDM-II Trimester students at I.T.S, Mohan Nagar Ghaziabad on 3rd, 4th & 7th January 2019. Mr. Bhanu Pratap and Mr. Abhishek were the resource person in workshop. The major objective of the workshop was to impart the knowledge and learning of managing money (financial planning & wealth management) which is necessary for everybody.
In this 6 hours workshop for one group every day, students learnt about financial planning by playing an ONLINE simulation game and attending some classroom sessions. In Finance GYM game which is an online interactive game, students created and managed a virtual portfolio with real investment products to achieve the financial goals they had been given. By playing this game, they learnt the basics of financial planning, including basic financial terminology, setting financial goals, asset allocation strategy, pros and cons of different financial products, and tax planning.
The classroom activities and sessions covered Goal-based financial planning, Asset allocation and diversification, Purpose of different types of financial products – stocks, bonds, mutual funds, insurance, etc. in an investment portfolio, Analyzing a mutual fund factsheet and evaluating Debt and Equity Mutual Funds, Practical aspects of buying life insurance, Tax planning. All winners were declared at the end of program and felicitated. Event was coordinated by Dr Lalit Kumar Sharma.
It was a great learning experience to all participants.
One day workshop on “Employability & Psychometric Profiling”
In order to withstand the pressure of getting placed in the globally competitive job market, individuals are expected to possess desired knowledge, skills and creative potential, I.T.S Mohan Nagar, Department of Management organized a one day workshop on “Employability & Psychometric Profiling” for PGDM students on December 31st 2018. The objective of workshop was to identify and aware the Management students with employ-ability status and the skills required entering and surviving successfully in Job market with cut throat competition and complex & multidimensional scenario.
The workshop was conducted by ACC Ltd. in collaboration with Praxis EL Training & Consulting Pvt. Ltd. At the beginning of workshop, Dr. Ajay Kumar, Director Management, I.T.S. Mohan Nagar Ghaziabad extended a floral welcome to Mr. Sharad Verma, Director, ACC Ltd. and Dignitaries from ACC Ltd. and Praxis EL Training & Consulting Pvt. Ltd. The workshop was conducted by Mr. Kumar Abhishek, Director, Praxis EL Training & Consulting Pvt. Ltd. The workshop was divided into two parts, in the first part Mr. Kumar Abhishek gave a deep insight about current scenario of employ-ability and its various causes. He focused upon “Self Analysis” and its awareness to students in which he practically conducted psychometric profiling of students. The workshop enriched students with learning outcomes related to employ-ability and their own psychometric profiling.
The second part of the workshop was about One to one counseling session with students to discuss their psychometric profile and enhance their employ-ability skills. The workshop ended with a note of gratitude to Guests and Resource Person.

Case Teaching & Case Writing Faculty Development Programme at I.T.S, Mohan Nagar Campus
I.T.S- Management & I.T. Institute organized three days FDP programme on “Case Teaching & Case Writing ” from 18th to 20th May,2011 for Management faculties. The objective behind holding this FDP was to upgrade the Management faculty members with the various techniques of dealing with the cases and evaluating the relevant and core issues. As there are a very few Indian Cases available, there is an urgency of developing new and relevant cases for our future students. So this workshop was organized to emphasize on basic case writing and teaching techniques.
The FDP was inaugurated by the Keynote speaker Prof J K Mitra Ex Dean, FMS, Delhi University with an overview of relevance of case teaching in Management Education. The second session was taken by Dr. A.K. Puri, Director General, ITS. He emphasized on the various techniques for teaching a case. The post lunch session was conducted by Dr. Harsh V. Verma, FMS, Delhi University. His session was very lively as he had a unique style of presentation, involving every faculty with the counter question and raising many issues and finally winding up with a common solution.
The second day started with a novel way of case writing skills taken by Dr. Mukesh Pandey, Associate Professor-College of Agribusiness Management, Pantnagar University, Uttarakhand and Dr. A.K.Puri, Director General, ITS. They both helped us to focus on identifying the core issue as the first step and to quote the facts without being beased and opinionated. The workshop was than divided in small groups and was personally guided on the leads by both of them.
The third day began with the discussion of the case “Fresh Field Crops” developed by Dr. Mukesh Pandey. He explained the business model to understand the case. Through this case he streamlined how to structure the case and then develop it further. The afternoon session gave a practical awareness by taking up presentation of each lead discussed, a day earlier. The cases developed by the faculties were given a serious thought and suggestion flowed in from everyone to enrich the case further.
The FDP concluded with the distribution of certificates to all the participants. The final touch was given D.G. ITS by sharing the various tips and steps to make the case studies more effective. Prof Anusha Agarwal and Prof Nitin Saxena coordinated the workshop.
