Workshop of SAP FICO organized for PGDM (2016-18) students

A demonstrative workshop on SAP FICO was organised by Department of Management at I.T.S, Ghaziabad, on 04.12.2017 for finance specialization students of PGDM 2016-18 students.

Workshop started with the introduction of business blueprint in SAP and road map for implementation to the client. Detailed discussion of various modules and sub modules in SAP was also explained to the students. Demonstration of configuration and application based transactions were shown to the students on SAP software.

At the end of the session a test was conducted to check the understanding of students about the subject.

Workshop on Sales Reports and Analysis by Mr. Amit Kumar Srivastava for PGDM (2015-17) students

As a part of Industry exposure to the students of PGDM programme, a workshop on Sales reports and Analysis was organized at I.T.S - Mohan Nagar campus on 16th April, 2016. In first half, three hours session was with PGDM – III Trimester, Section – A followed by the similar session with Section – B students, In a very interactive and energetic session Mr. Amit Kumar Srivastava, Key Account Manager, Scandic Food Pvt. Ltd., New Delhi discussed various kinds of sales reports and their analysis and helped students to have hands on experience. He said that Sales reporting and analysis provides visibility into a company's sales pipeline, integrating information from sales, customer and financial sources for a complete picture of sales performance. A sales analysis can ensure that your sales are meeting your expectations. For example, performing a sales analysis can help you compare your actual sales to a minimum quota or a sales forecast. All organizations need to track adherence to sales plans.

    Sales reporting demands the involvement of dedicated human resources with good understanding of the systems & processes, felicity with numbers, attention to detail and an ability to interpret & present the data in a form that is easy to understand for the users. The key aspects covered during the workshop are as follows:
  • Log sales reports into computerized systems on a periodic basis – daily/weekly/monthly
  • Consolidate the daily/weekly call reports of sales executives and present the same in a comprehensive and simple-to-analyze format
  • Track sales against quotas
  • Monitor expenses against estimated budgets
  • Generate exception reports as and when there is a deviation from plan, to alert management
  • Compose weekly/monthly summary reports and presentations
  • Perform ad-hoc reports and analysis

Throughout his discussion he referred to his own personal life experiences. Students listened and participated in the workshop with great enthusiasm.

ASSOCHAM summit attend by Management Faculty.

ASSOCHAM, had organized a Summit titled “India: Innovative, Creative and Inclusive” on 21st May 2015 at Hotel Imperial, New Delhi. Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam, Former President of India had inaugurated the Conference as Chief Guest.The main objective of conference was to bring the critical stakeholders on a common platform and deliberate upon chartering a road map for the development of an ecosystem for promoting innovations across sectors to achieve inclusive growth in the country. The Conference started with the welcome address of Mrs. Sushma Paul Berlia, President, Apeejay Stya & Svran Group and Chairperson ASSOCHAM Economic Affairs Council. The Key note address was delivered by Dr. M. O. Garg, Director General, CSIR & Professor Anil K. Gupta, IIM Ahmedabad, Founder, Honey Bee Network, Executive Vice Chair, National Innovation Foundation. The special address was delivered by Shri Sunil Arora, Hon’ble Secretary, Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship, Govt. of India. The Industry remarks were delivered by Ms. Monica Magnusson, Vice President, Strategy & Portfolio Management, Ericsson AB, Sweden.

Thereafter Mrs. Sushma Paul Berlia introduces the Chief Guest of the day Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam, Hon’ble Former President of India. The entire participant welcomes the chief guest with a big round of applause. He emphasized on When Make in India was launched, everyone initiated deliberating the question how to make in India, what’s the road map? Can we go beyond make in India? Initiatives like “Make in India” will act as stimuli towards improving innovations for India. To go beyond make in India - we need to research, design, develop, produce and thus truly ‘Create in India’. The emphasis on Human Resource, Capital and Incubation, Tech infusion, Building up infrastructural ecosystem and leveraging vast domestic consumer base are the major pillar of create in India

Technical Session was on “Building an Ecosystem for Innovative India: Making it Happen”. The moderator of the session was Dr. Parveen Arora, SC-G and Head, CHORD, DST. The session started with special address of Prof. Ashutosh Sharma, Secretary, Department of Science and Technology. Mr. Manasvi Srivastava, Director, Trade, India, South & South East Asia, Microsoft discussed on creating and Promoting an Innovative & Creative Ecosystem: Role of Policy. Mr. Ravi Badwal, Head of Emerging Businesses, Viom Networks Encouraging Creativity and Innovations discussed on role of Universities and Education Sector. Dr. W Selvamurthy, President - Amity Science, Technology and Innovation Foundation emphasized on role of IPRs in Technology Development. Mr. Vijay Sarathy, CoE Leader Business Analytics PACE/India IP Leader, GE Human Resource Issues in Innovation: Emphasis on Skilled Manpower .Mr. G Raj Narayan, Founder and MD, Radelemphasized on Advanced Technology Moving towards Inclusive Innovative India. Overall, the summit involved lots of highly accomplished and experienced speakers from various sectors representing both public and private sectors to discuss and debate on Inclusive & Innovative India. How creativity and innovations can be encouraged at grassroots level which leads to benefit the society at large.How policy and institutional space can encourage technological innovators. Role IPRs in knowledge creation and technology transfer.

All the participants who walked out after completion of summit were thinking how the innovations and creative solutions across sectors can lead to inclusive development.
