Guest Lecture on “Stock Market Operations” for PGDM (2021-23) Batch

I.T.S School of Management organized a Guest Lecture on ‘Stock Market Operations’ for PGDM (2021-23) Batch finance specialization students on 16th September 2022.

The Program was initiated under the presence of Mr. Ramesh Bharti, Product Head, Equity at Geojit Financial Services Ltd,  Mr. Manish Kumar, State Head, Geojit Financial Services Ltd, Mr. Bhavuk Garg, Senior Manager, Geojit Financial Services Ltd.

Mr. Ramesh Bharti, the resource person of the guest lecture, disseminated the knowledge of various investment avenues to the students in his session. He briefly introduced the students about investment in banks, post office schemes, public provident fund, equity shares, mutual funds etc. He demonstrated to the students trading mechanism through online portal for equity and other products. In this session he discussed about different chart patterns, importance of technical and fundamental analysis in stock market operations.

It was an interactive session as students asked their queries related to the contents covered during the session. The guests were felicitated with memento by Director Dr. Timira Shukla and Chairperson PGDM Dr. Anusha Agarwal as token of remembrance. The session was ended with concluding remarks by Dr. Neeraj Sanghi.

Industrial Visit to Yakult Danone India Pvt. Ltd.

I.T.S School of Management, Ghaziabad organized an Industry Visit to Yakult Danone India Pvt. Ltd., Sonipat (Haryana) for PGDM students (2022-24) batch on 16th September, 2022.

 

Yakult Danone India Pvt. Ltd. is a 50:50 Joint Venture (JV) between Yakult Honsha in Japan and Groupe Danone in France, both of which are global probiotic leaders.

On arrival at the Yakult plant, employees from HR department Ms. Swati Yadav, Asst. Manager – QA, Science & PR, Yakult Danone India Pvt. Ltd. received the students and were seated in their seminar hall. Visit commenced with a presentation to the students wherein the students were apprised as to what is probiotics and what are the health benefits of the drink. They also discussed their method of product distribution in various cities across India. They highlighted that Yakult is being distributed by grocery stores, e-commerce, and Yakult Ladies.

Later on students were taken to the plant were they witnessed the production of Yakult probiotics right from the making of plastic bottles to the packaging of the product ready to be dispatched.

The students were accompanied by faculty members Dr. Sanjeev Tandon and Dr. Puneet Kumar.

Convocation Ceremony for PGDM (2020-2022) Batch

I.T.S School of Management, Ghaziabad organised its 24th Convocation Ceremony for PGDM (2020-22) Batch on September 11, 2022.

The Convocation ceremony began with ceremonial lamp lighting by the dignitaries present namely Chief Guest Mr. Krishan Guptaa, Managing Director, Organic Wellness Products Pvt. Ltd., Guest of Honours Mr.  Pradyumna Pandey, CHRO, Mother Dairy, Mr. Neeraj Mehra, Vice President-HR, Infogain, Dr. R. P. Chadha, Chairman, I.T.S – The Education Group; Shri Arpit Chadha, Vice Chairman, I.T.S – The Education Group; Shri B. K. Arora, Secretary, I.T.S The Education Group; Shri Surinder Sood, Director (PR). I.T.S – The Education Group and Advisory Board members and Parents of the diploma awardees.

Dr. Timira Shukla, Director welcomed the dignitaries and delivered Institute’s Annual Report.

The Chief Guest Mr. Krishan Guptaa delivered the Convocation address and stressed upon ownership, fitness, being fun loving, and passionate as the mantras for success. The Guest of Honour Mr.  Pradyumna Pandey emphasised on creating a story and acquiring new competencies. The second Guest of Honour, Mr. Neeraj Mehra stressed on the importance of discipline and time management.

All the dignitaries congratulated the students of the graduating batch and conveyed their best wishes for their success in personal and professional life. Rank Holders of the batch were awarded with medals and certificates for academic excellence by the dignitaries.

All the awardees received diplomas from the distinguished guests in person and embarked on their new journey into the professional world.

PGDM students attended HALLA BOL, AajTak Show

I.T.S School of Management organized a visit to AajTak, Film City for PGDM students batch 2021-23 on September 9, 2022.

AajTak is an Indian Hindi-language news channel owned by TV Today Network, a part of the New Delhi-based media conglomerate Living Media group. The show “HALLA BOL” was divided into three sessions and the show anchor was Anjana Om Kashyap.

The dignitaries for the first session were Shudhanshu Trivedi (BJP speaker), Makhanlal (Historian) and Vivek Srivastava (Congress speaker). The topic for debate and discussion in this session was “The name change of Rajpath to Kartavyapath. The debate was highly stimulating as diverse perspectives and diverse viewpoints were discussed and deliberated in the sessions.

The dignitaries for the second session were Shudhanshu Trivedi (BJP speaker) and Supriya Srinathe (Congress speaker). The topic for the session was “Kiski Nafrat Kiski Siyasat”, where the dignitaries stuck to view -points and defended their respective political outfit.

The dignitaries for the third session were Radhika Khera (Congress speaker), Mrityunjay Tiwari (RJD leader), Gaurav Bhatia (spokesperson of BJP), Awanish Awasthi (Civil Servant) and the topic for the session “Bharat Jodo Andolan ya Parivaar Jodo Andolan”.

The different views raised broadened the horizons of the students. It provided them an opportunity to understand how  live shows ares organized. They also got a chance to understand the different  perspectives and viewpoints. Students also understood the value and relevance of data and diversity in the current era. Overall the session was highly interactive and added a new dimension to the thinking perspective of the management student.

ICRIER Conference on “Taming Inflation”

Dr. Rajeev Johari and Dr. Indraneel Mandal faculty of I.T.S Ghaziabad attended a one-day conference on the theme “Taming Inflation” on the 8th of September, 2022 at the Gulmohar Hall of the India Habitat Centre organized by ICRIER.

 

The inaugural session was graced by the Honourable Finance Minister Smt. Nirmala Sitharaman, along with Dr Deepak Mishra, Director and Chief Executive, ICRIER, and Dr Ashok Gulati, Infosys Chair Professor of Agriculture, ICRIER.

The post lunch session had another panel discussion on the theme of taming inflation in India moderated by Ms. Mythili Bhusnurmuth, senior advisor, NCAER. The other participants included Dr Sitikanta Pattanaik, Executive Director, RBI; Dr Dharmadhikari Joshi, Chief Economist, CRISIL; Dr Ashima Goyal, Emeritus Professor, IGIDR.

With the multifaceted deliberations on the all-important topic drawing to a close, it was time for Dr Gulati to deliver the final Vote of Thanks. The gathered research and academic community has a lot to think about after the enlightening interactions with the assembled experts.

Seminar on Investor Protection at NCAER

I.T.S School of Management was invited to 'Special Investor Awareness and Protection Seminar by Investor Education and Protection Fund Authority (IEPFA) on its 6th Foundation Day in association with National Council of Applied Economic Research of India under the aegis of Ministry of Corporate Affairs, Government of India, on September 7, 2022.

40 PGDM (2022-24) Batch students along with management faculty members Dr. Rajeev Johari and Dr. Indraneel Mandal attend the event.

The seminar focused on Investor Awareness and Protection. The programme started at 10.00 AM with lamp lighting and welcome address by Dr Mridul Saggar, IEPF Chair Professor, NCAER. The dignitaries of the dias were Ms. Anita Shah Kella , CEO of IEPFA, M R Shrikant from RBI, Mr. Giriraj Prasad Garg (SEBI), Mr. KPS Malhotra (IFSO), Mr. Jayant Kumar Dash (RBI), Mr. Rakesh Jain (IEPFA), Mr. Tushar Anand (IEPFA), Mr. Mridul (NCAER).

The house was then thrown open for the Q&A session. Some very pertinent questions were put up by the students present, which were then answered with care and patience by the panelists, thus adding substantially to the. All in all, it turned out to be the perfect conclusion to the day’s deliberations. The entire seminar was well conducted and the message conveyed was very specific, which was greatly appreciated.

Parivartan’ Club – A CSR Initiative

A CSR Initiative by I.T.S School of Management, Ghaziabad- ‘Parivartan’ Activity was organized for underprivileged children of Sahibabad area, on September 2nd, 2022.

 

The volunteers included students of PGDM 2021-23 batch. The focus was on educating the underprivileged sections of society. The student volunteers included Shobhit, Aryan, Akash, Vaibhav, Vipin, Vibhu, Rima, Priyanshi, Surendra, Manvi.

 The following lessons were taught to the children:

(i). Identification & Names of colors in English,

(ii). Mathematical tables from 2 to 5 and,

(iii). Concept of using less than and greater than signs between two numbers.

The children sang English & Hindi Poems and participated with enthusiasm. Mr. Vaibhav Pratap Singh (PGDM Batch 2021-23) celebrated his birthday with these underprivileged children by distributing Frooti. The session ended with the distribution of cream-biscuits among the children. Prof. Ashutosh Sharma accompanied and guided the student volunteers.

One day Excursion Tour toBest Western Resort Country Club, Manesar

I.T.S School of Management, Ghaziabad organised a one-day excursion trip to Best Western Resort Country Club, Manesar for PGDM 2022-24 batch students on 1st September, 2022.

 

The aim of excursion tour was to empower students with new means of learning i.e., by engaging in team activities, storming with different viewpoints of team members, handling situational problems, crisis management, time management and gaining hands on experience.

The morning journey to Manesar resort was full of energy and excitement. Cool breeze and the greenery around sent a tingling sensation down the spine as the students reached the resort.After a warm welcome, refreshments were served. The faculty members opened up the surprise package of different management games & team-building activities. The real enjoyment was the high energy and enthusiasm of every student of batch as everybody participated in water relay game, tug of war, passing the ball etc. The scores and judgement were given by faculties.

After the eventful session, the students were served with lip smacking, sumptuous lunch.In the post lunch session, the students participated in adventure activities like camel riding, horse riding, climbing and sports activities like billiards, lawn tennis, table tennis, cricket, volley ball, chess etc. students. These activities helped them to overcome their fears and bond with each other This was followed by evening tea and snacks.

This outbound excursion tour helped the students learn the importance of working in teams, collaborating and learning from one another. The different activities stimulated the physical and emotional quotient of the students. The faculty members who accompanied the students included Dr Anusha Agarwal, Dr D K Pandey, Dr Vivek Pachauri,   Prof. Yachna Malhotra, Dr Mayank Sharma and Prof. Ashutosh Sharma.

Aagaaz-2022: Freshers’ party of PGDM 2022-24 Batch

I.T.S School of Management organized Aagaaz-2022: Freshers’ party of PGDM 2022-24 Batch on 26th August, 2022.

 

 

The Program commenced with he gracious presence of Mr. Surinder Sood, Director-PR I.T.S-The Education Group, Dr. Timira Shukla, Director I.T.S School of Management, Dr. V.N. Bajpai, Director I.T.S Ghaziabad, Dr. Sunil Kr. Pandey, Director IT I.T.S Ghaziabad,, Dr. Anusha Agarwal, Chairperson-PGDM Programme, faculty members and students of PGDM Program.

The event commenced with the auspicious lamp lighting ceremony to invoke blessings of Maa Saraswati., Mr. Surinder Sood addressed the gathering with his words of wisdom and enlightened the gathering with the importance of enjoyment in life and education. Mr. Sood emphasized on learning for wisdom and employability. Dr. Timira Shukla, in her address to the students, discussed the importance of showcasing the talent through these platforms. She urged he students to participate in these academic activities for their holistic development. The event witnessed energetic and enthralling performances by students. It included group dance, poetry recitation, solo singing, and solo dance which left the audience mesmerized. The rigorous process was adopted to select Mr. & Ms. fresher from the nominees including introduction round, talent hunt round and question round.

Towards the end, the jury members announced the names of Mr. & Ms. Fresher 2022. Mr. Abhishek Kumar and Ms. Rishika Pandey from PGDM 2022-24 Batch were crowned Mr. Fresher and Ms. Fresher respectively.

This was followed by a sumptuous feast.

PGDM students attended AIMA event “Shaping Young Minds Programme”

All the participants of I.T.S School of Management of PGDM (2021-23) attended an online session, “Shaping Young Minds Programme” organized by All India Management Association (AIMA) on August 26, 2022.

The programme comprised of four sessions. The dignitaries for the first session were Session Chair, Shiv Siddhant Narayan Kaul, Managing Director, Nicco Engineering Services Limited & Honorary Consul General, The Republic of Korea in Kolkata); Session Speaker, K. Radhakrishnan, Former Chairman, Space Commission/ Secretary, Department of Space and Keynote Speaker Ms. Rekha Sethi, Director General, All India Management Association. The session was initiated by Session Speaker, K Radhakrishnan who spoke about his career and life experiences and how he grabbed opportunities to become successful and about ISRO bringing different career opportunities and various options for career growth. He also gave an insight about the evolution in the private sector in India and also talked about ESG (Environment Sustainability and Governance). Then, taking the session ahead Ms. Rekha Sethi, Director General, AIMA spoke about the importance of technology in today’s era and the increase in rate of change in trend. She also spoke about technology being the key driver of the economic growth of the country.

The dignitaries for second session were Session Chair, MrPranjal Sharma (Author Economic Analyst & Columnist), Session Speaker Shiv Shivakumar (Group Executive President, Strategy and Business Development Aditya Birla Group & Past President All India Management Association). They initiated the session by sharing their life experiences working on various projects and how context and feedback is important while working on anything and everything. They also mentioned that work-life balance is both internal as well as external.

The dignitaries for the third session were Session Chair, Shrinivas Dempo (Chairman Dempo Group of Companies & Senior Vice President All India Management Association) Session Speaker, Shereen Bhan (Managing Editor CNBC-TV18). The session was taken ahead by Shereen Bhan, session speaker, who gave an understanding about will power being nothing without the willingness to do and how to deal with a situation when you draw the line of limitation in endless independence. She also briefed that preparation is always important before demonstration of a task and the necessity of leadership.

The dignitaries for the fourth session were Session Chair, Nikhil Sawhney (Vice Chairman and Managing Director Triveni Turbine Limited, Director, Triveni Engineering and Industries Limited & Vice President All India Management Association) Session Speaker, Sanjiv Mehta (CEO and Managing Director Hindustan Unilever Limited). The session speaker talked about the transformation from knowledge confinement to its widespread availability. They discussed the importance of cloud server in today’s era and how duplicacy and replicacy is avoided through intelligent security.

Overall, the session was very informative and definitely food for thought.
