International Corporate Talk on “Role of Leadership and Group Dynamics in VUCA world”
I.T.S School of Management, Ghaziabad organized a virtual International Corporate Talk on the topic “Role of Leadership and Group Dynamics in VUCA World” for the students of PGDM (2022-24) Batch on December 12, 2022.
Expert for the session was Dr. Godfrey Mpundu Sekula, Project Director, Kabwe Diocese, Researcher, Rock View University, Lusaka, Zambia.
Dr. Godfrey started the session by giving insights into the VUCA world. He talked about the ways the dynamics of world hours changed during COVID 19. Natural disasters and climate change are also matters of grave concern which lead to uncertainty in the contemporary business environment. To meet the need of this complex environment, future managers need to be more proactive, adaptable, risk mitigators and focused. He further said that it is the need of the hour for managers to know how to make maximum utilization of scarce resources within the organizations. He further explained that not only business houses, but Government Organizations also need to investigate VUCA aspects. Further he explained the meaning of volatility, uncertainty, complexity and ambiguity and how these dimensions affect the environment but on a positive note he also shared remedies to cope up in VUCA world. He elaborated on how effective leadership helps business organizations to be successful in the contemporary world. He familiarized the students with various leadership concepts, theories and styles. Lastly he beautifully illustrated the example of former President of USA, Barack Obama as a successful leader.
It was a very insightful session and all the students participated with enthusiasm and zeal. The faculty members Dr. Anusha Agarwal, Chairperson PGDM, Dr. Namita Mishra also joined the talk. The corporate talk was coordinated by Dr. Shkiha Arora.

Management Students attended States’ Policy Conclave 2022
PGDM (2022-24) Batch students of I.T.S School of Management, Ghaziabad namely Vani Gaur, Saloni Gupta, Sundari Tomar, Vaibhav Agarwal, Dharna Taneja, Utkarsh Rai, Varnika Gupta, Tanzil Verma, Harish Kumar, Abhishek Kumar, Maanyata along with faculty member Dr. Rajeev Johari attended PHDCCI flagship program on ‘Public Policy and Governance States’ Policy Conclave 2022 on the theme “Make in India, Make for the World” on Monday, 12th of December 2022 at Hotel Le-Meridien, New Delhi
The panel discussion sessions focused on some of the key areas such as: Agriculture & Food Processing; Make in India, Make for India and the world; Making India a “Service Hub” ; Invest in India; Recalibrating India’s Export Potential; Education & Employable Skilling; Decentralising Entrepreneurship; Boosting MSMEs; Innovation & New Technology; Healthcare; Culture & Tourism; Energy & Infrastructure; Science & Technology; IT & ITES; Cooperative Movement; Green Mobility & Alternate Fuel Technology; CSR & ESG Sustainability; Climate Change & Action.
Introduction of the session was done by Shri Ranjeet Mehta who is currently the Deputy Secretary General of PHDCCI, on climate and sustainable development. Giving momentum in policy space, celebrating the ongoing Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav, PHDCCI’s flagship program on public policy and governance, the event was graced by Hon’ble Union Minister of Ministry of MSME, Government of India Shri Narayan Rane and Hon'ble Dr. Bindeshwar Pathak, Founder, Sulabh Sanitation and Human Rights Movement. This was followed by panel speakers Smt. R Vanitha, Chief Director (Corporate Communications & International Cooperation), National Cooperative Development Corporation and other dignitaries from the industry and state policy makers and different secretaries level who shared their views and suggested relevant points for further betterment of the execution the policy at state level.
The Conclave was addressed by leading decision-makers from government, industry and diplomatic community. Hon’ble Shri Sudhakar S. Kini, Chief Architect, Sulabh, presented his experience and observations in sanitation sector having been associated with the largest NGO for nearly four decades.
The sessions were learning - oriented and meaningful for the students in terms of their exposure to corporate culture and administrative functions. The event provided a unique opportunity of interaction to participants at both national and global levels.

Parivartan’ Club – A CSR Initiative
“IF WE NURTURE THE DREAMS OF CHILDREN, THE WORLD WILL BE BLESSED. IF WE DESTROY THEM, THE WORLD IS DOOMED!” ― WESS STAFFORD
As a CSR Initiative by I.T.S School of Management, Ghaziabad - “Parivartan – An Education Program for Underprivileged Children” activity was organized in Sahibabad area, on December 9th, 2022.
The volunteers were students of PGDM (2022-24 batch). Day’s focus was to distribute various donated things to the underprivileged children of Sahibabad area. The student volunteers included Divyanshi, Priyanshi, Priya, Kartikey, Rohit, Sudhansh, Radhika, Simran, Rupali, Nitish & Harsa.
All the children were briefed about donation camp organized by the PGDM members of Parivartan club, thereafter volunteers distributed Biscuits, chocolates, frooty, chips, stationary, cloths among the underprivileged children. Children were thankful to all the volunteers for putting so much effort for collecting many things for them in donation camp.
Prof. Ashutosh Sharma accompanied and guided the student volunteers.

Attendance Felicitation Ceremony
I.T.S School of Management, Ghaziabad organized the Attendance Felicitation Ceremony for students of PGDM Batches (2021-23) and (2022–24) on December 9, 2022.
The event started with the motivational address by the Director, Dr. Timira Shukla. She congratulated the students who secured 100 percent attendance in various subjects in the first and fourth trimester. She said that it is an important milestone in the professional journey of students and is also a sign of regularity and punctuality. PGDM Chairperson, Dr. Anusha Agarwal, PGDM Second year Coordinator, Dr. Vivek Pachauri and PGDM First year Coordinator, Dr. Shikha Arora were also present along with the respective subject faculty to felicitate the students.
45 students of the first trimester and 16 students of fourth trimester were felicitated with a certificate and a motivational book for maintaining 100 percent attendance in various subjects. A special plaque was presented to Mr. Kunal Singh and Mr. Harish Kumar from PGDM (2022-24) for maintaining 100 percent attendance throughout the first trimester in all the subjects.
This was followed by the presentation of Badges to the class representatives of PGDM (2021-23) and PGDM (2022-24) Batches. Appointment letters were also issued to all the Class Representatives. All the students were very enthusiastic and were motivated to be regular in classes and contribute their best.
The session ended with the concluding remarks by Dr. Anusha Agarwal. She congratulated all the students on this achievement and advised them to put in their best efforts with the same zeal.

ENTHUSIA VI organized by the Statesman Club for PGDM Students
The Statesman Club of I.T.S School of Management organised a sports event, ENTHUSIA VI for PGDM (2022-24) Batch on 8th December 2022. Following activities were held: - Badminton Doubles, Table Tennis, Shot Put and Relay Race.
The event began with the inaugural ceremony of ribbon cutting by Prof. (Dr). Timira Shukla, I.T.S School of Management, Ghaziabad, Prof. (Dr.) V. N. Bajpai, Institute of Technology and Science, Ghaziabad and Dr. Anusha Agarwal, Chairperson PGDM.
All the four events were held parallelly in the sports complex area and at the playground. Badminton doubles was held in the badminton court and Table tennis in the Table tennis court in the sports complex, Shot Put and Relay race were held in the playground. Shot put participants were given three chances with 7 kg (shot put ball) for boys and 4 kg for girls and the one who could throw the longest distance would be the winner. After that, Relay Race participants gathered at the playground in which there would be a single round for the girls and 2 rounds for the boys.

Workshop on “Research support service using E-Resources - Capitaline”
I.T.S School of Management, Ghaziabad organized a workshop on “Research support services using E-Resources” for PGDM (2021-23) and (2022-24) batches on December 7, 2022.
The speaker for the session was Mr. Kedar Kumar, Senior Trainer Capitaline Market publisher India Pvt ltd, New Delhi, responsible for all India institutional sales and business development service and support for capital market, Capitaline corporate database & web content services used by a wide gamut of finance professionals, academician, research scholars, media houses, corporates.
The session began with the warm welcome of guest speaker by Dr.Timira Shukla, Director - I.T.S School of Management, with her valuable words. The session was graced by the presence of Dr. Anusha Agarwal, Chairperson PGDM.
The speaker Mr. Kedar Kumar familiarized students how to use Capitaline database website procedure. Then he gave a brief note on the information available on the platform. He said there were 57000 companies worldwide, 322 industries,82 sectors and 500+ business houses available. Then he illustrated ACC Ltd. company to the student and showed financials like journals, ledgers, equity statement, cashflow, ratios of the company and taught how to analyze these data and how to make use of these data in their projects and assignments. He further explained how organizations like CRISIL, ICRA, CBRE, DELLOITE used Capitaline data to supervise their customers. He highlighted the importance of corporate governance and annual year performance of the company.
He ended the workshop by giving students all the knowledge about the financials of various companies and how to create insights for their assignments.
Towards the conclusion of workshop, he welcomed question from students and answered them compressively.

I.T.S School of Management, Ghaziabad organized a workshop on “Research support services using E-Resources” for PGDM (2021-23) batches on December 6, 2022.
Expert for the session was Mr. Sanjay Rajan, Senior Trainer and Consulting Partner in Proquest, part of CLARIVATE from last six years. He has more than 14+ years of experience in the information. He is also leading PQDT and ETD product globally from the CX side.
The session began with the warm welcome of guest speaker by Dr.Timira Shukla, Director - I.T.S School of Management, with her valuable words. The session was graced by the presence of Dr. Anusha Agarwal, Chairperson PGDM.
Mr. Sanjay Rajan mainly focused on term “Awareness.” Then he introduced his websites “PROQUEST” which is an e-book platform where students can access E-Books related to management and other fields. Then he explained the procedure of login in the websites and shared how learners can increase their level of information. Students can use this website for reading journals, citation, magazines, and research paper and enhance their learning. He further said that there is current affair column also available where students can update themselves. Then he also shared an interested examples from Indian mythological Mahabharat character where he talked about learnings of KARNA and ARJUNA which interested students a lot.
Towards the conclusion of the workshop, he welcomed intriguing questions from students and answered them comprehensively.

The session began with the warm welcome of guest speaker by Dr.Timira Shukla, Director - I.T.S School of Management, with her valuable words. The session was graced by the presence of Dr. Anusha Agarwal, Chairperson PGDM.
Mr. Lakhpat Singh shared his views about qualitative and authentic literature reviews, summaries, articles, journals, citation and other reading material which is available on EBSCO websites. He explained how students related to different managerial fields can enhance their knowledge by reading quality material available on the websites. He explained how the EBSCO helps students to write research papers, citations, dissertations. He further explained the importance of authentic data backed by government websites and trustworthy resources in research. He ended the session with giving beautiful insight to students how one can use, process and register in EBSCO websites and use it effectively and efficiently.
The workshop ended with immense knowledge on E-Books and Research related material and how EBSCO helped learners to read books related to different areas.

Finance Club Event ‘Finspiration 2.0 - E Collage Competition’
Finance Club- Finvest of I.T.S School of Management organized ‘Finspiration 2.0- E Collage Competition’ on 01st December 2022 for PGDM (2022-24) batch students. The objective of this event was to create financial awareness amongst students with creativity and presentation skills.
The program was initiated under the gracious presence of Dr. Timira Shukla, Director and Dr. Anusha Agarwal, Chairperson PGDM.
Thirteen teams were shortlisted to demonstrate E-Collage on stage with a small presentation on allotted themes. Themes of Finspiration 2.0 covered varied fields of financial awareness such as famous books, eminent personalities and prominent events in the areas of finance and economy. Teams prepared the E-Collage on various themes such as Crypto Currency, Rich Dad Poor Dad, Rakesh Jhunjhunwala, Financial Crises of 2008, E banking, NPAs in Banking Sector, RBI and its working, The Millionaire Next Door, Bull Rally in Stock Market, Demonetization, Warren Buffet, Financial inclusion, Economic Recession in Post Pandemic Era etc. and explained the themes with a small presentation. Teams were evaluated on the basis of creativity, content and presentation of E-Collage themes. The event was judged by Dr. Shailender Kumar Dube and faculty coordinator Dr. Neeraj Sanghi.
Team Innovators of Ananya Sharma and Radhika Goyal won the event. Team Account list of Siddharth Garg and Sundari Tomar came at second place and team Limitless of Shristi Bhardwaj and Ayushi Gupta secured the third place. Audience cherished and participated in the quiz round and won prizes.
The felicitation ceremony was graced by the presence of Dr. Timira Shukla, Director, Dr. Anush Agarwal, Chairperson PGDM, Dr. Shailender Kumar Dube and faculty coordinator Dr. Neeraj Sanghi felicitated the winning teams with trophies and certificates of appreciation. All participating teams received certificate of participation.

Management students attended ASSOCHAM : 2nd Global Value Chain Meet
I.T.S School of Management, Ghaziabd, PGDM batch (2022-24) students namely Khushi Jaiswal, Shristy Srivastava, Akanksha Sahu, Priya Kumari, Vineet Jain, Amaan Baig, Dileep Kumar and Shitanshu attended the 2nd Global Value Chain Meet organized by ASSOCHAM on 29th November, 2022 at Taj Hotel, Delhi on the theme “Making India an Export Manufacturing Hub and Investment Destination”.
This event was the discussion on indigenisation towards Self-reliance - Enhancing domestic manufacturing, realizing India's trillion-dollar goal in exports and promoting India as an attractive investment destination in the world.
Shri. Rohit Jain member ASSOCHAM National Council on business facilitation and global competitiveness discussed the shift of focus from Made in India to "Make in India policy", "Pradhan Mantri Gati Shakti Yojana" and also about the challenges of making India an export manufacturing hub. In the first session Dr. Rene Van Berkal was virtually connected and discussed digital technology in manufacturing; Shri. Vimal Raj T (Director Advocacy, Vedanta Ltd) discussed the strength of Indian manufacturing, domestic manufacturing & positioning of Indian manufacturing in the global market, Shri, Narinder Goyal (President, Avaada Energy) discussed about Avaada group- mission & vision. He also discussed about domesting manufacturing and its challenges. Shri. Saurabh Agarwal (Partner, EY) discussed PLI i.e... production linked incentive scheme, state industrial policy, MOOWR or EPCG. Shri. Sanjay Garg (Additional General Manager - International Operations. BHEL) discussed the initiative taken by our Hon'ble PM and also about the G20 Presidency on the theme (ONE EARTH, ONE FAMILY, ONE FUTURE).
The next session was inaugurated by Hon'ble Minister of heavy industries, Government of India "Dr. Mahendra Nath Pandey". In this session the speakers were Shri. Shantanu Roy (Executive Director & Export Head, BEIL) discussed the 3 C'S i.e... covid, climate & conflict. Shri. Abhijit Dani (Vice President, Praj Industries) discussed the exceptions of global customers, zero performance parameters. Smt. Mohini Kelkar (Director, Grind Master Machines Pvt. Ltd) talking about her company in the field of grinding. Shri. Ravi Gupta (Co. Chairman ASSOCHAM National Council discussed on WTO Trade & Investment And Executive Director, Shree Renuka Sugars Ltd.) asserted that MSME should be global. At last Honourable Minister Dr. Mahendra Nath Pandey said a few motivating lines to conclude the Session.
In the plenary session on INFRASTRUCTURE AND QUALITY READINESS, Shri. Sanjay Notani (Co Chairman SHM National Council on Quality and Productivity and Senior Partner Economic Laws Practice) discussed how quality reediness is important for infrastructure and manufacturing. The Other important dignitaries on desk work Dr Ramananand N Shukla (Director Z quality Council of India); Smt. Aditi Sharma (Group Chief Quality Officer, Vedanta; Shri Anurag Jain (Senior Vice President Quality and Business Excellence, Avaada group); Mr Abhishek Chaudhary (Vice President Corporate Affairs HR and Company Secretary National Industrial Corridor Development Corporation). The major point of discussion in this panel was that the role of quality control officer is not just checking the quality of the products manufactured but also making everyone else believe that quality assurance is to be made sure by anyone and everyone.
Overall all the sessions were very stimulating and motivating for the students. The day turned out to be highly interactive as students were curious to ask questions and eager to build connections and enhance their networking.
